Guided Walking Holiday Itinerary

Our guided walking holiday in Andalucia.
We look forward to welcoming you on this unique guided walking holiday, taking in a variety of differing landscapes. The routes are suited to most guests, who enjoy leisurely walking/hiking, rated as easy/ medium, difficulty. Distances between 8 & 15 km. Most of our walks are on defined paths and off the beaten tracks, some uphill climbs, but no climbing.
Step off the beaten track with us, enjoy a slower pace of life for a few days, reconnect with nature, leave rested, rejuvenatated and restored.
We are passionate about our lifestyle and where we live and would love to share that with you.
Day 1
Afternoon arrival at La Rosilla, welcome drinks.
Time to relax.
Evening Supper and drinks on the terrace weather permitting or alternatively in our country dining kitchen.
♥ 3 course evening meal to include, local delicacies, Welcome cocktails & canapes, wine and soft drinks throughout your meal with fresh coffee to finish.
♥ Overnight at La Rosilla in a private double room with traditional, luxury ensuite.
Day 2
Breakfast basket with local sweet and savoury treats, to be enjoyed on our terrace, dining room or in bed if you’d prefer.
Today our guided walking begins, we will take a circular walk, through the countryside, olive and almond groves and along the river, stopping at a local Andalucía, whitewashed town, halfway for coffee.
We will walk rolling hills back to our start point, before heading to a local venta for – Menu del Día –
You will experience the Menu del Día a historical tradition from ‘Franco’s time that welcomingly still lives on, allowing workers to eat a substantial meal at a reasonable cost. Often hectic and fast, with no menu to browse, just dishes hurriedly explained by waiters. A guaranteed unique experience and a great part of your gourmet journey in rural, Spain.

Simple supper evening and drinks.
Day 3
Breakfast at La Rosilla, as before.
9.30 ish leave as we will drive today to our start point, in the Montes de Malaga national park. A 14km Circular route, through forests and mountain tracks, great views to Málaga, Africa and beyond, ruins and historical places.
Picnic / packed Lunch enjoyed on the route.
Drive back stopping for coffee and refreshments.
SIESTA TIME – At La Rosilla.
3 Course supper and drinks at La Rosilla.
Day 4
Breakfast at La Rosilla as before.
Staying local today, so leisurely start.
We will do two smaller circular routes, taking in Mazmullar a mountain with a deep history and lookouts of 360 degrees and the magnificent Moorish hilltop town of Comares.

Day 5
Breakfast at La Rosilla.
Our last day walking and exploring together as we head to the Jurassic Park of El Torcal, to follow a route over the rock formations, It is known for it’s unusual landforms, and is regarded as one of the most impressive Karst landscapes in Europe. The Sierra Torcal is a small mountain range that separates Málaga and Antequerra.
Picnic Lunch.
Drive back to La Rosilla, via Antequerra.
Last Supper and speciality Paella / Arroz night.
Day 6
Breakfast at La Rosilla.
We bid you farewell, and Hasta Luego.
Leisuretime
Late afternoons are for your leisure, to read, sunbathe and relax at La Rosilla, we have several private terraces with wonderful views, a dip pool to cool off or an elegant spacious lounge for your personal use.
If you have your own transport feel free to explore.
