August for La Rosilla

As we reach the end of a bustling and vibrant first half of the year, I wanted to take a moment to thank our guests and followers . Your support and enthusiasm have made these past six months wonderful. From welcoming guests from all corners of the globe to cooking in some of the most breathtaking locations in Andalucia, the culinary journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.

 As the sweltering heat of the Andalucian summer intensifies, it has become increasingly challenging to maintain the comfort that we strive for. The last few weeks have been particularly trying, and it has become clear that we need to take a step back and make some much-needed improvements.With this in mind, we have made the decision to close our doors for the month of August. This brief hiatus will allow us to work diligently behind the scenes, preparing for our return in September.

Finally I’m getting Air Con – WOOHOO

One of the most exciting updates is the installation of air conditioning—a dream I’ve been manifesting for 20 years. This long-awaited upgrade will not only enhance the comfort of our kitchen but will also ensure that our guests can enjoy their culinary experience in a cool and pleasant environment, no matter the weather outside.

Whilst we’ll be taking a break, August is anything but a time for rest and relaxation for us. This month is a whirlwind of family birthdays and celebrations, so my apron will still be on, whipping up delicious treats and meals for our loved ones.

In addition, we are pouring our energy into an exciting project at La Biznaga. We’re undertaking a huge job of creating a new kitchen in a very quirky space, which promises to be both a challenge and a labour of love. 

We will also be traveling overseas to indulge in cooking classes and gastronomy. These experiences will provide us with fresh inspiration and new techniques to bring back to our kitchen. And of course, we’ll make time for a cocktail or two, savoring the flavours and experiences that different cultures have to offer.
